It’s a New Year so I thought that it would be a good time to make a fresh start.

For the last 8 years or so I’ve been sporadically running a music website called Magic, Murder, Mania and Manta Rays (I know, crap title). It is however time for a change. Why?

Well, it could be that I need to find a new identity to hide from my crimes against rock criticism. Alternatively I could just be following the herd to blogger land.

There’s probably a little bit of both of these reasons in my decision to move but in truth the main reason is that the site needs a refresh and it’s become too big to easily do that. So I’ve decided to cut loose, assume a new identity and a new look and broaden my horizons ever so slightly.

The focus will definitely remain on the music and I intend to to actually post the odd MP3 from time to time. But the goal remains the same – to promote the stuff I like and perhaps comment on other stuff that comes my way.

Time permitting I’ll also branch out into other areas (such as books) but, since I have enough difficulty finding the time to post stuff I’m happy with on MMMM, I’m not going to sacrifice what little quality I possess just to post any old rubbish here. Maybe you’ll not be able to tell the difference!
