This will be old news to some of you but since it was publicised just before Christmas it may have slipped by some.
Not content with cornering the market in physical records sales, Matthew over at Song By Toad is aiming to conquer the Edinburgh live scene with a monthly series of gigs at the Wee Red Bar.
These start a fortnight on Saturday (22nd) with a bill comprising of The Scottish Enlightenment, Johnny Reb and Morris Major. The Scottish Enlightenment have featured on here before but I don’t know anything about the other acts despite the fact that JohnnyReb’s publicist likes emailing blogs. Maybe I’ll give in to the persistent knocking and give them a listen.
Four week later (19th February) Rob St John and Thirty Pounds of Bone perform with one further act to be confirmed. Again Rob has been featured here before, fairly recently in fact.
