A brief round-up of last night’s Cool Cat Club line-up.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Creeping Ivies’ primal rock’n’roll and it’s nice to see them starting to build up a bit of a profile.
Hadn’t heard Lost Tentakills before but they were barking – in a good way. An Indian head-dress and ponchos helped lend the performance an air of insanity. Probably my favourite act of the night.
The Fnords delivered a set of straight up, no nonsense garage thrills whilst Bobby Stickah made a good job of opening to a sparse early crowd with a solo Jonathan Richman meets the Ramones performance.
