What Was That?

The trouble with Twitter is that if you step off the escalator for a wee while, then you struggle to catch up again. So here are some things that have passed me by in the last 5 days or so:

Edinburgh School for the Deaf will be releasing their debut LP ‘New Youth Bible’  on 1st June on Bubblegum Records. The album is preceded by a single ‘Orpheus Ascending/Orpheus Descending’ next Friday 29th, presumably to commemorate THAT event. The band have shows coming up on Saturday (23rd April) at the Wee Red Bar, Edinburgh, 13th May (at Nice and Sleazy’s, Glasgow), 1st July (13th Note, Glasgow) and the Ides of Toad on 2nd of July in Henry’s Cellar Bar.

TV21 play their first gig of the year on Sunday 1st May at the Grassmarket Festival – onstage around 7pm apparently. Ballboy will be headlining the Friday night (29th April, presumably).

Fence have announced a fair chunk of the Homegame line-up too – looks rather tasty but I know I’m not going to be in any fit state to go, even if I’d managed to get a ticket.

I managed to miss the Sunday Herald with the free Chemikal CD. Was there anything rare on it?

Nah, nothing rare on the Herald thing (it was a download rather than a CD), excpet maybe a Bill Wells & Aidan Moffat song off the new album, which is only rare for a couple of weeks.
