Yes, sir it does indeed. Looking at the vast range of cultural activities available in Scotland on Thursday 22nd September, the Skinny has recommended that our humble gig at Dexter’s is THE place to be that night. And they know what they’re talking about.

FOUND have made a significant breakthrough in 2011 thanks to the first record for Chemikal Underground, the brilliant ‘factorycraft’. Along the way they’ve also released a playable chocolate single and are out and about in September in support of the album.

Man Without Machines meanwhile have completed recording their debut LP this year and, whilst infrequent, they have made a few live appearances in and around Dundee including a stsorming set supporting Edinburgh School for the Deaf in June.

Martin John Henry will release his first post De Rosa LP, ‘The Other Half of Everything‘ in early October. He’s bringing a full live band to the show where you can expect to hear a preview of that record, perhaps along with the odd De Rosa classic.

Compoleting the bill in stripped back duo form will be The Strangers Almanac. The band released their free single ‘Whale Watching for Beginners‘ earlier this year, so expect that and highlights from their back catalogue.

Tickets for the show are available in Groucho’s and WeGotTickets here.
