After a relatively quiet year  (at least since their mammoth UK and European tour in the Spring) the Phantom Band celebrate the upcoming Phestive season with a 2 day extravangza in Stereo in Glasgow.

Entitled a Xmas Phantomine the bill as things stand is as follows:

FRIDAY 16th:

The Phantom Band (Opening)
Holy Mountain (Facebook | MySpace | Review)
Tut Vu Vu (MySpace | Review)
Pabs “Paul Thomson” Debussy (Leather Jackets / Franz Ferdinand) – Disc Jockey
Phantom Disc Jockeys / Karaoke
More special guests to be announced in December…

SATURDAY 17th: The Phantom Band
Take A Worm For A Walk Week (Facebook | MySpace | Review)
Jacob Yates And The Pearly Gate Lockpickers (Facebook | MySpace | Review)
Torsten Lauschmann (Something Audio-Visual. torstenlauschmann.com)
Disc Jockey Bobby Cleaver & Friends (NUMBERS)
PLUS Special Guests and Secret Performers!…

Tickets for the event are, apparently, well below the venue’s capacity, so hurry up before they’re all gone.

A reminder of the magnificence that is the Phantom Band with a couple of videos of singles from the first LP. First up the official video for ‘The Howling’

Then a pretty dark but excellent sounding live video of ‘Throwing Bones’ from last year’s excellent Oran Mor gig:
