A little bit of Bob Mould news.

Bob’s recording career has been a little peripatetic in recent years with recent LPs all seeming to come out on different labels. He’s maintained that by signing to Merge Records and will release a new LP in the autumn.

Unusually for recent records, the LP has been recorded with his live band of Jason Narducy and Jon Wurster.

The trio have also started to mark the 20th anniversary (ouch) of Sugar’s ‘Copper Blue’ with dates playing the entire LP in sequence.

There’s a date at SXSW on 16th March followed by one the following night in Austin, Texas.

The tour crosses the Atlantic for dates at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on 1st June, AB in Brussels on 3rd June, Tavastia in Helsinki on 6th August, the Oya Festival in Oslo on 8th and Arena Wien in Vienna on 14th August.

Looks like there’s still scope for further dates to be announced.
