I’m going to be organising a charity show in Cupar in November. The gig will be in aid of Kingdom FM’s Kingdom Kids charity.

The show will take place on Sunday 11th between roughly 2 pm and 9 pm (with a break for tea) with half a dozen bands (hopefully) playing. The idea is that it will be as family friendly as any gig with loud music can be.

Today I’m delighted to be able to announce the first acts on the bill.

It will come as no surprise to anyone who’s dropped by at any point in the last 6 years that Martin John Henry was top of the wish list. He’d have been there if it had been my list alone but he’s also MPK1’s favourite act at the moment.

So I’m honoured that Martin will be playing a solo set on the day, hopefully on the back of finishing recording the third De Rosa LP!

If Martin’s been a mainstay of the blog in its lifetime, then Cancel The Astronauts are more recent favourites. But they equally were must-haves for the bill, particularly since Mrs MPT has been getting into them recently.

So … more details, including ticket prices to follow shortly.

In the meantime there’s a Facebook event for the show here.
