Rather out of the blue this afternoon, Martin John Henry announced the release later this week of a new live acoustic E.P.

‘Live on Land’ is an 8 track set recorded on tour featuring 6 MJH/De Rosa originals and two covers in the set.

The two covers have somewhat different origins, a version of Kate Bush’s ‘Army Dreamers’ that he’s played solo and with De Rosa on and off for several years now, as well as ‘Urchin’ by Belfast’s Desert Hearts.

The originals meanwhile include a couple from last year’s solo LP ‘The Other Half of Everything’,  one track from the De Rosa internet only release ‘Appendices’ and no fewer than 3 from the second De Rosa LP ‘Prevention’.

Ahead of Wednesday’s official release date through Bandcamp, you can sample the E.P. by downloading Martin’s  fantastic Desert Hearts cover from Soundcloud. And to tempt you to do so, here it is:

Martin will be performing a solo set at A Brighter Beat, an all ages show, on Sunday 11th November in Cupar in aid of Kingdom Kids. More info.
