Released through Gerry Loves Records on 30th June, ‘Reverse Drift’ is a collection of Adam Stafford‘s landscape photography in book form. The book comes complete with`Reverse Drift’ a single, 40-minute composition in three movements which will be available as a download with the book.
The photographs were taken over a period of eighteen years, between 1999 to 2017 and are mostly human-less landscape shots of Falkirk and the surrounding area reminiscent of Stafford’s own multi-award winning short film ‘The Shutdown‘ (2009).
‘Reverse Drift’ was recorded live and semi-improvised in one take with no overdubs and was created only with a synthesizer, a sequencer, some effect pedals and Stafford’s own voice. It’s definitely Adam at his most creative and reflects his desire to move away from song based music for the near future.
There will also likely be a smattering of launch shows around the end of June which are still to be announced.
