This week’s song comes directly from Falkirk. Vulture Party describe themselves “disqueting alt-pop for the socially conscious’ and that’s a fair description of their impressive brooding debut single ‘New Humans’. The song marries ominous synths and electronic beats with haunting vocals and organic instrumental melodies led by the piano.
The four piece band are Louise Ward (vocals, piano, synth), David King (vocals, guitar, synth), Dickson Telfer (bass) and Roddy Campbell (drums).
The video for the single was directed by none other than Adam Stafford.
The single is available for download from the band’s Bandcamp and is available to stream in the usual places. It’s also featured in the MPT Quarter 3 playlist.
Vulture Party’s debut album is scheduled for release at some point in 2020 but you can preview another three songs in addition to the single at their website.
